Welcome Chip!  
I just went through this last week.  I’m supposed to be getting out of the hospital today!  I’m super excited to go home to see my kids  and my pups. 

my only advice is don’t worr!  it’s easy get yourself worked up like I did at times last week.  It’s easy to say about my upcoming surgery but hard to put into practice.   We’re going to feel so much better in a few months and when fully recovered in a year.  This will be life saving surgery for us! 

what helped me before my wheel into the operating room and that last couple days pre op was declaring the verses from Gods Word over my situation and prayer. .

Philippians 4:6-7  6.”Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests known to God.” 7.”And the peace of God, that surpasses all understanding,  will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”praying for you brother.
