Send Jenny a NoteAbout Me
My legs started swelling in December of 2024. I went to my NP and she put me on Furosemide. Fatigue started to set in. Climbing stairs was becoming more difficult with me having to rest a minute or so when ascending. My cough started to happen more often especially when trying to lay down to sleep.
I mentioned this to my pulmonologist. She ordered an echo. I had an echo approximately 1.5 years before that which showed no problems. My echo on 6/5/25 revealed afib, dilated cardiomyopathy, mitral valve prolapse, mitral valve regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation.
I am in the process of finding a surgeon to hopefully repair the valves.
The last cardioversion I had in August has kept me in normal sinus rhythm with only a few bradycardia episodes.
I live in Ohio and am considering Cleveland Clinic which is 3.5 hours away or a hospital in Kentucky which is 2 hours away.
