I planted it in 1978 when we moved here. Meet cardiologist friday to review echo but i already know it was good. Back to gmc dealer today to hopefully fix the missing map from my dash screen. Way too much electronics on these new vehicles. More to break. Most of it goes unused in my world. Rest that wrist.

Happy you like my winter wonderland pix. With not much to do being housebound i decided to clean up my 60 years of photo albums that go back to our wedding and before. I felt a little like chevy chase in xmas vacation in the attic as i managed to shed a tear or two on a sentimental journey seeing pictures of my parents, some previous dogs and some dear friends no longer with us. Ana, i met my new primary doctor this week. My long time person is leaving his practice. He was the best. He was knowledgeable but had no problem suggesting a specialist if required. No ego issues. The new guy met all my requirements on paper but the biggie is that i have to like him. As it turns out i did , a younger doctor but not too young, and he was even pleased i showed up with a list of questions. I always try and walk the walk. Finding a doctor in todays world is not an easy thing. He chuckled when i told him he passed. He may not have realized that if he had failed, he was history.

My previous cardiologist was a female and only got to see her once and later on she went on leave to have a baby and as you know nowadays they get a few months leave, I took two weeks off when I had my baby and went back to work. So no more female doctors for me.

I think fidel would have fit right in at our 80+ lunch. No talk about health issues or politics. All 3 of us met our spouses at school so there was that plus some recounting of those no longer with us. Amazing how many. As the saying goes among us oldies, i go to more wakes than weddings now. Then there was some discussion about the sad state of athletics in our country. It used to be about fun. Not any more. As our dog trainer always tells our group, lets have fun above all else.

Everyone can have his/her own ideas depending of many factors and life experiences, but friends meetings, blogs, internet places and so on are not good places to do it. After all all are human beings but even being of the same cultural and religious family, politics bring to light very deeply held beliefs and in arguing you can lose friends. I touch on such issues only when I am face to face with each person and from a moderate standpoint, understanding each other´s positions.

Happy birthday. Just back from a 3 hour trip up north to Woburn mass, coming from shadows neurology appt. It was a consult. I was armed with all the data from his 4 seizures. She was not overly concerned about the quantity or his seizure time length. 2 minutes is a short duration ( unless you are there its the longest 2 minutes i ever spent) She would be more concerned if he was having them weekly or monthly and longer than 2 minutes. Her best guess is epilepsy but its a matter of ruling out everything else as there is no epilepsy test. She gave us some medication that has to be injected up his rectum but only if his seizure lasts 4-5 minutes. Like an enema. Doing that in the midst of a seizure sounds like a cluster but if we need it, we need it. We welcome any heart warriors willing to do the deed. Plus we need to monitor future seizures and go back if they increase in number or duration. We liked her knowledge, her demeanor, and she did not push a bunch of unnecessary tests on us.

So you and shadow have something in common. Both meeting a neurosurgeon next
week. We will discuss his seizures. Prayers for you both. Tomorrow i get my prostate biopsy which is never a pleasant experience. No doubt i will be wiped out most of the day. We just found out our regular vet who is only 62 years old and has treated our dogs for over 25 years, has lou Gehrigs disease. A year ago he just opened his own practice and now this. Very sad. Fabulous vet and great person.
