Hi! Thank you for your note on my guestbook. Long story, but my blood pressure needed to be higher in order for me to take the beta blocker metoporal... that’s when my heart rate would sky rocket up with the slightest movement and slow walk. Once my blood pressure was stable, I was on metoprolol and my heart rate stabilized. That was my situation, and others may have different stories. I have to remain in metoporal in order to keep everything where it should. The heart has to go through major adjustments after surgery and it does take a while for things to get in sync. Continue to talk with your Drs and let them know these details. When do you go back in for a post op appointment? Wishing you well!
