This is the 1st time I’ve heard Dr. Adams’ voice since a day or so after my repair on Feb. 3, 09. I am simply humbled by his skills, his dedication & his passion for doing what is best for the patient. My surgery was to be about 4 hours. It was 8 hrs. & included a ring being placed around my tricuspid valve as well. That was not in the “plan” the day prior to surgery. In fact the day prior to surgery I told Dr. Adams that if he got in there & just could not do a repair that I would understand & would leave it up to him to select the type of mechanical replacement valve. I knew I was in the best of hands. Even with me telling him this … he hung in there for the EXTRA 4 to 4.5 hours to give me a BEAUTIFUL repair that works 100%!!! HOW do you ever thank a person for that type of dedication??? Just by being in awe, by showing EVERYONE my “before” & “after” pictures … and by having him chosen as “Heart Valve Surgeon of the Month” on this widely read blog!!! Thank you Adam for honoring him in this way. Thank you Dr. David Adams from LITERALLY the “bottom” of my heart!! YOU ARE my hero!!! Cynthia Tarver … a way over here in CA!!!

I met Dr David Adams before my quqdruple coronary artery bypass surgey.
Dr Adams was to me like a special agent from GOD…when i was asked if i wanted to think about when to do the surgery ,i just felt so secure and confident in Dr Adams smile that i said when ever your ready as i am ready.
That was 8 years ago and i feel great .The confidence Dr Adams portayed to me still gives me the confidence and encouragement i need to keep in shape and to enjoy a healthy life….i do have two leacky mitral valves i am told by my private cardiologist i can live with ,but if the day came that i ever needed those valves corrected ,i know i have Dr David Adams to turn to with extra confidence.

I just watched the video of Dr. Adams’ mitral valve repair. Amazing attention to detail. I am a beneficiary of his skill three years ago. I am doing great. I went from a significant regurgitation and murmur to zero. The best of the best as far as I am concerned-and a nice guy from North Carolina to boot.

For a second opinion as you say i should do..1 st. I have a dvd of all test (ive been told there many). University of Wisconsin says I need a 29 mm size aorta, and Mayo said I need a 33mm. NOTE: I have appointment for ballon testing of the aorta opening/sizeing on the 27 november. The dvd was made about November3rd 2012.. Mayo says that I need a aorta conduit by pass. I feel that after watching you on my computer, I feel so much weight has been lifted off trying to find some one who will do this operation. Mayo did tell me and showed me the cal around the edge of the aorta. If you think you can help me, I can send you the DVD for your inspection.. I am 78 years young, good health except for this. I have had a TRIPLE A, 12 years ago and TRIPLE heart by pass in about 96.. phone number 608-835-8841
