I've never told my friends about my congenital pulmonary aortic stenosis. It has been with me all my life and has never really caused me any problems. I could never play football or do strenuous exercise but have lived a pretty normal life. When Dr. Hickle told me that I had to have the surgery done I finally told my friend, Lori Bishop Way. She went through OHS and I figured she knew a thing or two about this. It was Lori who recommended that I buy Adam's book, which just arrived in the mail today. Before I go in for my first consultation with Dr. Aranki, I need to get a surgical clearance from my dentist and get an out-of-network referral from my insurance company. Dr. Hickle is writing a Letter of Necessity. I've registered with Bringham & Women's and have a Medical Record Number.
