I'm a 39 year old Personal Trainer and just found out I have to have heart surgery to repair my Mitral Valve from severe regurgitation. I've never even had stitches so I am pretty freaked out. I'm the type of person that has to know what I am facing and what every possible scenario could be. I have read a TON online since I found out I have to do this. I am thankful I found this site to read other stories and find some support. My surgery date is July 21.
UPDATE: My surgery was successful. I am now on the other side not really knowing what to expect and taking it day by day. I am still so very thankful for this website and all of the knowledge it has provided and support.
