Yes, please don't walk outdoors when it's bitterly cold and icy. In the early days of recovery, I would walk in circles inside my house.
I agree with Tracy. I walked inside my house during the winter for a month. The temperature and interaction with too many people were concerning to me early into my recovery. Your heart can get a workout anywhere. All the best! ❤
Try indoors in your home... so many germs and sicknesses are out there, I would avoid public places for a while. Good luck!
Another option is a Y or recreation center who have indoor walking tracks. And there's always the mall!
