Send Stephen a NoteAbout Me
I have been monitoring my defective valve for over 20 years. It started causing me to become easily fatigued - especially going up steps. Surgery went well, and all of the staff at Weill Cornell - from Dr. Girardi, to the custodians and everyone in between - were amazing. Compassionate, competent, caring and professional. I was discharged yesterday (1/14) and I think I'm doing well. Took three short walks around the block, I'm using the breathing thing, taking my meds on time and I made all of my follow up appointments.
Sleep is still the toughest part of the day. I hate sleeping on my back, and I just can't get comfortable for more than a couple of hours at a time.
