Today I had to jump an unexpected hurdle on my road to recovery. I am very glad it was leaped over with help from my team of supporters. A dental xray showed infection so I had a tooth extracted. Nothing like a minor oral surgery to prepare for open heart... Read more.

Good office staff makes SO MUCH difference. I think the good ones are really unsung heroes in their own class.

Now that I know I need surgery my focus is in preparing my home and family. Since I can't exert myself this is particularly challenging. I am so very thankful for my husband!! Is there any advice from some of you that have gone thru this. What can I do... Read more.

Take one day at a time. Reach out to your loved ones and let them know how you feel & what you're going through. They might not understand, but it will make you feel better sharing your feelings & emotions! I also got a lot of emotional support by reaching... Read more.
What I learned Mirna is that getting a support group involved was important, but house,and whatever more "physical" stuff, including whether I mopped the floors or shaved my legs, matter naught. The hospital supplied all I needed , and a very small bag with cloths to head home n worked... Read more.
