hello everyone it's been a long time since i've been on here. it looks like the last time i posted i wasn't in a great state of mind. That only happens rarely. so it's been 14 yrs. since the surgery. i haven't stopped anything that i used to do Voluntarily.... Read more.

Mark - I think pumphead is very real and seems to be downplayed by cardiologists and surgeons. I have trouble remembering certain words and names of people I've known for years. Apparently, improved methods of bypass have minimized the effects on the brain, but without a doubt, they're still there.... Read more.

thanks please don't feel that bad for me. years ago yes. Listen the greatest thing i got is a great sense of humor. If you have one great, or find one and keep it. Reasons why some memory is good (not really) I get to watch movies over and over... Read more.

Listen everyone out there who is having Major Heart Surgery. When you feel good enough. get back to your routine. My situation is that 4 out of 10 get what i got. You gotta understand thou. I had that much blocked in my arteries (calcium build up from the bicuspid... Read more.

Hi. I'm from Cyprus (Greek ) I'm 50 years old and I'm going into surgery in a few days for aortic valve replacement but I just can't decide what valve to choose any advice?

Lets see what valve to use. That is up to you and your doctor. I took the mechanical valve. Yes i have to be on blood thinners the rest of my life. My doctor said because i was only 48yrs old at the time choose that one. I should out... Read more.
