Marie Myers I believe the current thinking is that we (heart valve patients ) are not at higher risk of acquiring the virus unless we have underlying conditions like immune system conditions. I am not panicking, but I am seriously trying to avoid the virus by staying at home, eating a healthy diet, and exercising daily.

Travel is one of the situations that can play with your INR, but just test before you leave and when you come back and you should be fine.

Barbara Wood Hi Lyn, I had a kind of scratchy feeling in the back of my throat that would make me cough for months after my surgery. It just gradually tapered off til it was gone, but it lasted a long time. I never asked about it, but I do think it would be a good question for your doc. Take care, hope you feel better soon!

Carmel Power Good to hear from you Lyn! I have had an interesting journey. Lucky enough to have my mitral valve repaired but I struggled with low blood pressure ( 4 days in ICU) , afib, reinflating my right lung and a “micro bleed” in my brain. Luckily, no side effects from the last! I am now on the mend. Did two flights of stairs yesterday and about to head off for a walk now. All positive. Hope you manage the warfarin and stay well. C
