I believe the current thinking is that we (heart valve patients ) are not at higher risk of acquiring the virus unless we have underlying conditions like immune system conditions. I am not panicking, but I am seriously trying to avoid the virus by staying at home, eating a healthy... Read more.

After asking my cardiologist the same question, his reply was that we (mechanical valve patients) are not considered high risk patients but there might be some sort of complications due to the fact that our INR is really high

Congratulations. Glad to hear from those who have had multiple valve issues. I sometime freak out when I think about my two new tissue valves. Did any of you have A-fib afterward?!
