Well things have taken a turn and I was admitted to hospital on the 14th because my haemoglobin had gone down to 60 (6 for those elsewhere) and my iron was only 3. Needless to say I was feeling pretty crappy.

Does anyone have any experience with Heyde's Syndrome? Or gastrointestinal bleeding before/after surgery?
Sounds like something for your doctors to explain. Hopefully you can get stabilized and get on with surgery. From what little I read about Heyde's syndrome, aortic valve replacement will be the treatment. Hope you are holding up under all the stress!

It has taken me the last 5 months to (somewhat) accept that this is happening to me... For me it is been a gradual process. And there are days that I take an anti anxiety pill because it "gets to me " now and then.. Bless you on your journey... Read more.
