About Me

My diagnosed Aeortic Valve Stenosis has reached the severe stage and the cardiologist is telling me "the sooner the better" on replacing it. Bottom line, I postponed the decision until a follow up visit in late February. I am now reconsidering the postponement. Since my last visit with my cardiologist, I have had couple of episodes of rapid heart rate one minute and low heart rate the next? I have also had occasional numbness in my left arm. It may be that since hearing the diagnosis my mind is just looking for problems? Update: I had a "TEE" and heart cath yesterday (Jan 25 2017). I met with both my cardiologist and they informed me my narrow aortic valve and a thicken wall of my v chamber is causing my Mitral valve to regurgitate. Bottom line is I meet with the heart surgeon in the morning and he will operate Tuesday, Jan 31. I will be 64yrs old on February 11th.
