Im still in the hospital 10 days later. Afib seems severe and i have some kind of fluid or infection. Hopefully that continues to decrease. Im not very happy about any of this

Oh, Kali, hang in there. You're in the right place where these things can happen. I found comfort that I was still in the hospital recovering from ❤️🩹 surgery when my a-fib started. I found keeping up with walking in the hospital corridors and seeing & talking to other patients... Read more.

I know how you feel Kali and I'm sorry for this frustration. You get to a point where you just want to be home recovering in familiar, and let's face it, more comfortable and hygienic surroundings. Try to hang in there, and tell yourself this is just what you need... Read more.

Thanks again for your kind words! I pulled thru, released on saturday - going home to my bed with my partner and all the comforts of home was incredible! im doing much better ❤️

Yay, congrats on the release! I have not had my surgery yet, but I do know from experience how hard long hospital stays can be - and how great it feels to finally head home :)

The surgery was a success. Minimally invasive mitral valve replacement with an Onyx brand valve. Was in for 6:15am, woke up around 3-4 pm, my mom was there with me. It took an hour before the tube was remove! Was very relieved to have it out. 8 pm i was... Read more.

That's awesome. Meds can cause sugar level altering. So glad it's done and you sound good. Best to you on you recovering journey

Wow Kali!! I didn't have the capacity to even post a message for days after my surgery! You're doing really well! I also had high sugar while in the hospital but nothing upon discharge! Praying all continues to go well in your recovery! 🙏🏻❤️🩹
