My surgeon recommended I take a look at this site and I am so glad he did. While he answered all of my questions, there was still so much I wanted to know. This site has been a treasure trove of information! I am scheduled to have my aortic valve replaced on October 5th. I was born with a malformed valve, so I have know surgery to replace it was always coming, but somehow now that it is scheduled it suddenly has become very real. I have a great Cardiologist, a very skilled surgeon and will be in Fairfax Hospital's Cardiac Center so I could not ask for anything better. But...so many questions and concerns, This site has helped so much. I really want to thank everyone who has shared so freely. It is making my preparation a lot easier. Thanks to all,
