Hi everyone! Just a quick update. I had my aortic valve replacement surgery on 23rd July 2024. Dr Ahmed carried out an upper mini sternotomy👌& an On-X valve was fitted. I stayed 6 days in hospital…& so far my recovery has been smooth. I did experience some double vision problems when I first got home but this seems to have passed thankfully. I'm walking each day a little further about 4KM yesterday. A beautiful sense of peace & gratitude has replaced any anxiety that I have experienced prior to surgery. I look back now on the past 4 weeks as some of the most precious moments in my life. For anyone facing this surgery in the near future, whatever your feelings, DO NOT be nervous. In hospital this a routine fix & you will meet the best of people on your personal journey.❤️Keep Ticking
