Hey all. Had my year checkup on Thursday. Thought all would be well but it seems I've developed thrombosis on my on-x valve. Ct and echo showed blood clot on the valve. They are upping my warfarin from 2-3 to 2.5-3.5. Did cultures to make sure there was no infection.... Read more.

Thanks to you all. I have no symptoms at this time … I assume if I did she would have been more concerned and done more than up my warfarin.

Update: Spoke with my cardiologist again. I am too keep watching for stroke symptoms and recheck with her in 6 months. She did say we were lucky to have caught it early and that she is confident that as long as my warfarin stays steady (around 3) all should be... Read more.

Last year at this time I was being prepped for my surgery. When I read my daily devotion this is what it said. Happy Anniversary to me! I'm doing well! I hope this brings some peace to others on this journey.

Congratulations Erin!!! I immediately recognized this from "Jesus Calling". A total stranger I met gave me a sheet of paper with the name of this book for me to get, then my sister in law gave me this book when I arrived in Cleveland for my surgery not knowing about... Read more.
