Patient thoughts regarding discontinuing ongoing baby aspirin therapy after six months from receiving an Inspira Resilia aortic valve. Aspirin causes stomach upset and indigestion. No afib or other cardiac issues except the valve replacement surgery. I am 73 years old.
I don't have experience with this but I think you would be better off to keep taking it even if you don't have afib. Since your main concern is an upset stomach, you might want to take it at different times (after eating something), take alternative medicine, etc.
My Dr. said I would take a baby aspirin daily forever and I have the same valve
