I hear you Diana. It's been 8 yrs for me as well after double valve surgery. It would be nice if cardiac issues could be completely resolved, but they stay with you. And that's hard. Thank you for expressing what many feel. Take care.

I feel exactly the same way..always wondering. My valve replacement was because of an infection and the damage the infection did to the heart tissue, let alone the valve, always worries me. I think it is normal to worry.

Good to hear things are stable at 8+ years. I am 6+ yrs on an aortic tissue valve. Thinking about another surgery is always somewhere in the back of my mind. Like my cardiologist always says, " you've got to live your life, and ride the wave of technology". Better... Read more.
