I'm four months post MIAVR and doing great. I'd like to start doing home INR testing, instead of going to the lab every week or two. I'd appreciate your experiences and opinions with the various devices, there are a number of options out there.
MVR on April 7, 2017. Finished my first week of full time schedule at work, and then gardening all day (with physical restrictions.) Tired but not in pain. To everyone in the community, hang in there and keep taking baby steps, they add up over time.
Had my first Cardiac Rehab session this morning, walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill, no shortness of breath, and blood pressure was appropriately lower at the end. However it's early afternoon, and I'm ready for a nap! One day at a time, and by the grace of God, each one better than the last.
I had AVR (St. Jude) on April 7. Since then, my pulse has been 90-100, as opposed to 76-78 before surgery. BP has gone from 116/60 the week or so after surgery to 130/80 the past week. What have you experienced for HR and BP after surgery?
I had my AVR via ministernotomy on April 7. Except for a hiccup with my inguinal drain (sutured internally, oops) recovery has been good. I return to work part time tomorrow, one month after surgery. In the ultimate of ironies, I'm a Clinical Educator and Cardiac Rehab nurse. Still sleeping in the recliner, but every day I have more energy. Keep me in your prayers.
