hello my brothers and sisters, I had a question about cardiac rehab, for those that have been through it. Did insurance cover the cost ? If not how much did it cost. Thanks ,prayers for all those in surgery today.

I have a question about that also. Who sets up your cardio rehab? I don't know if that would be the surgeon or my cardiologist.

You need a physician's referral for cardiac rehab. Don't leave the hospital without one. Typically most insurance plans will have a copay for each session.

Curtis, I had my surgery Dec. 16, and the cardiac rehab head gal stopped by my room and gave me her card to call her when I was ready to start. I called to start a month later (new year, new deductible....), and my portion CO-PAY WAS $200 a visit!... Read more.

I will be having my surgery at Mayo....long distance from home. I'm glad to know to get rehab order for cardiac rehab before I leave....as I'm not feeling my cardiologist at home is supportive of me not staying in that system!
