I had double valve replacement in March of 1990, aortic and mitral both mechanical . Both destroyed by bacterial endocarditis. Well turns out my warranty is up, I can't complain I got my money's worth 25 years. Looks like my surgery will be almost exactly 25 years to the day, weird. Trying to figure out what valve to go with this time around. I Mean I've done well on warfarin all this time without incident, on the other hand I'm not getting any younger 54. Cardiologist thinks tissue surgeon thinks mechanical.
