My deep condolences go out to the whole family. May he RIP. I lost my mother January 18, 2015 to liver cancer she was 62. I still miss her so much words can't describe. God bless his soul and your family.

Committed to take this journey Aug 25th. at Northwestern -Dr. McCarthy. I went to the Cleveland Clinic diagnosed with Afib-Mitral and Tricuspid valve reg. Repair work with maze procedure to be done in Chicago. Talk about mind games-Adam Pick's book is very good.

Dr. McCarthy did my AVR 3 months ago. Two days in ICU, 2 1/2 days in Recovery. He did a good job. I've had no complications. My experience at Northwestern was very positive, though a person who had the surgery on the very next day, with McCarthy, had a difficult... Read more.
Arnold you're one day ahead of me. I'm having my aortic valve changed on August 26 at the University of Penn. I hope things go well for you.

I'm currently doing cardiac rehab at Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park. which I started 5 weeks after surgery and will continue for another month. Tomorrow is my 3-month surgical anniversary. I'm about 65-75% recovered - no pain, but easily tired and sometimes depressed/anti-social. I'm swimming, playing tennis and bike-riding. Good... Read more.
