Hi Annie. Just now seeing this & I'm glad to know your recovery is underway. I too had a lot of fluid accumulation after my surgery last May. My hands were so swollen but that went down after a few days. Only toward the very end of my 8 day hospital stay did my legs & feet start to be less swollen & walking was difficult because of the swelling. For me, I'd describe it as not being able to feel the floor very well. Just made it not a very pleasant experience. It got better with lots of lasix & time. Take care!

Lasix and time worked! I was so swollen, I couldn't lift my legs, and my skin felt so painful like it was being pulled from my muscles and tendons. I'm in cardiac rehab now, and feel like a weak shadow of myself. I can hardly wait to find my strength and resilience. I left the hospital grossly anemic....slept 11-12 hours a day for two weeks. This is a slow process, but I know it will be worth it. Thanks for your prayers Arlene Van Norstrand, and your support Joy Vera and Arlene.
