So today I got a letter from my insurance company telling me that although my hospital of choice was in network, my surgeon was NOT! Quite a panic. Took a few hours to sort out since today is a Saturday and I'm supposed to report for surgery Monday at 5:30... Read more.

Are you having minimal invasive or is the chest being cut? You look so young and thin ... I' m 53 and its not supposed to happened to people like us.

Yesterday at the allergist's I had a positive reaction to the chlorhexadine, which was what everyone had suspected, so that is good...now they know how to proceed. My cold is practically gone, so all systems are go for surgery on Monday. Feeling a LITTLE NERVOUS.

This past weekend I came down with a bit of a cold. I've notified Dr. Smith's office, and I'm just praying that this doesn't mean ANOTHER delay! I feel good today, just a trace of the cold... I know that they will make a decision that is in my best... Read more.

Ada, Zicam helped me get over my cold in record time! I'm trying hard to stay healthy before my surgery.

Thanks! I am at the allergist's today to undergo testing. They need to find out what caused the anaphylaxis during the first surgery attempt. Hoping everything goes smoothly and all questions get answered so that I can get this throng done!
