Send William a NoteAbout Me
I am a 63-year-old, slim, non-smoker and fit male from Ontario, Canada. I was diagnosed with BAV about thirty years ago and have had yearly echos. One year ago, I was informed that my valve had deteriorated to the point where I am now a candidate for surgery. While my valve condition is severe, my symptoms remain relatively moderate.
Surgery is planned for the June-July 2026 timeframe.
It now appears that my surgery will be later than I had hoped. The CT Scan to create a 3D map of my heart for precise measurements is scheduled for July 24th. Once that is complete, I expect they'll book the surgery. Hopefully, in August. While I am not feeling too bad, I want this surgery in my rearview mirror.
There are more serious cases than mine, so it makes sense they need to go first.
