I had my surgical consult today with Dr. Guo. His recommendation is to go with a tissue valve. I'm good with that. I will be having a CAT scan and an angiogram in the coming months, with the actual surgery in the summer. Things are happening!
Welcome William. Lots of us on this site with a similar history. My own surgery was almost 9 years ago at age 63. Godspeed on your journey!
That's for reaching out. While I would rather not need to go down this path at all, I feel comfortable with the current plan. I know my anxiety will ramp up as "go-time" gets close, but those feelings are natural. I'm slim and fit, but I am beginning a yoga... Read more.
Stretching is a great idea! I had more discomfort from my upper back and shoulder muscles than from my chest. I would have given anything for a massage..Also work on your leg strength to assist you in getting up without arm use..
That's what I understand, too, as far as post-op back pain goes. Hopefully, my stretching will keep it to a minimum. Thanks for the tips!
