I am 48 years old .I have a bicuspid aortic valve and aortic stenosis .The beginning of 2015 I went for my routine echocardiogram . My test came back with changes. I had a stress test that I failed . A heart cath that confirmed the echo. Luckily no blockage or damage. I work in the medical field and I have great friends and coworkers who help me find a wonderful surgeon at Cleveland clinic . I have went for pre op testing and I'm scheduled for a tissue valve replacement May 29, 2015. I had no symptoms . The only thing that I notice after the fact was shortness of breath. I thought I was just out of shape . I am now just waiting and I am starting to get nervous and anxious . It is good to see others that know how I feel.
