I have a mass on my pulmonic valve. Although I have no symptoms I have been advised it should be removed. It is either a myxoma or a fibroelastoma and is extremely rare. I will also have a mitral valve repair. I was told the mitral valve repair could wait another 5 to 7 years but since I don't wish to ever have another OHS, now is the time. I was hoping this could be done minimally invasive but unfortunately I am told no. Ugh! I am 68 years old and am an owner and managing broker of a real estate brokerage. I am hoping I will be able to return some business calls from the hospital. Is this realistic? Maybe on day two or three post op? Would love to hear opinions!
