About Me (In My Own Words)
I was recently diagnosed with Severe Mitral Valve Regurgitation. The diagnosis came as a shock because I'm very active and have minor symptoms. Due to some initial enlargement of the heart, it was recommended I have surgery within the next three months.
With some help from friends who recently went through a valve replacement surgery and my research, I selected The Cleveland Clinic and Dr. Suri.
I am looking forward to getting past the surgery and starting my recovery. Within six months after surgery, I will tackle hiking South Sister in Central Oregon. It's one of the more challenging one-day hikes on the west coast.
