About Me

I had been born with Bicuspid Aortic Stenosis . When I was one year old I had a valvuloplasty done . I was always told when going in to the normal 6 month echo visits, you can live your whole life without needing surgery. The cardiologists that saw me in the past would say "wow that Valvuloplasty gave you a lot of mileage". I look at it now and agree with them. But now at the age of 33 it's time for a new change. The cardiologists says at the last visit it needs to be replaced. That it is becoming too stiff and referred me to a surgeon. Yes, it is hard to accept. But it is expected that I would need surgery. On December 2, 2025 I will have surgery. And even though, I know it will be a hard path at the start , it will be worth it. I am looking forward to my new phase in life.
