Exactly Teddy, we should wear our badge of heart warrior proudly. It truly changes something deeply inside you, makes you stronger and more resilient to everyday nonsense. After my one year mark I started getting back to normal. Hope you get stronger, too! And happy valversary!

Got a good question. How long did you stay on oxygen after heart surgery? I am 7 months after heart surgery and I am still on oxygen. I'm guessing I need more time for my lungs to get stronger. The cardiologist just told me to keep going with the oxygen.

Leaving the hospital on oxygen sometimes happens but it isn’t the typical experience. I had some plural effusion (water on the lungs) I had to deal with after surgery but didn’t need oxygen.
