About Me

A few months ago, during a routine checkup, my doctor detected a heart murmur for the first time. Otherwise I have no symptoms whatsoever and am in excellent health. I went to a cardiologist who confirmed aortic stenosis due to a congenital bicuspid valve. I requested surgery asap and he recommended aortic valve replacement via sternotomy so TAVR could be done if/when needed. He decided to replace my ascending aorta which was beginning to widen towards aneurysm.
