In 2023 I was told we needed to get a better understanding of a heart murmur I had had my entire life. After completing an echocardiogram the doctor told me I had to do an MRI which led to a diagnosis of bicuspid valve and 30% regurgitation. After monitoring the valve for three years, in December 2025, I was informed that my regurgitation had advanced to 40% and I needed to plan surgery which eventually took place on February 25, 2026.
