I've had a leaky mitral valve for years, annual echos showed no change, until last March. It changed to "severely" leaking with surgery recommended. Since I feel fine, it's extremely hard for me to process this drastic measure, but two specialists have agreed, it will only get worse. And I'm scared out of my wits.
