I am a retired RN, i was dx with a heart murmur during covid, no symptoms. I am a walker and started getting short of breath on walks and hikes. Cardiac consult confirmed - mitral valve regurgitation severe, tricuspid valve regurgitation and atrial fibrillation. I am scheduled for open heart mitral valve replacement, tricuspid repair, atrial ablation and temp pacemaker. I feel good and have no symptoms which makes it hard to digest everything. I am educating myself and have 2 friends who had valve replacements few years ago who did amazing. Education and support are paramount. You are all hero's to me. September 20 2023
