At the age of 39 my primary doctor heard a murmur and recommended I see a cardiologist, and at the time we had no concerns. Well, 6 years later I decided to go back to another cardiologist for a follow up because I was feeling worn down and my primary recommended it. After a few tests it was determined that I have a Bicuspid Aortic Valve that will need to be replaced. Its crazy that at 45 years old I find out I've had this from birth as well as another oddity in the way the artery's were formed in my heart. Dr Doolabh will be doing my replacement surgery on November 3, 2021 . I am looking forward to the adventure that comes after my surgery.
