About Me

01/22/2020 I was diagnosed with mild Aortic Stenosis in 2010. By the latter part of 2019 it had progressed to severe although I remained asymptomatic - at least in my mind anyway. During my annual appointment in December of 2019, my Doctor reported that there had been "No change" from the previous year's echo. By profession I was an engineer and spent my entire career analyzing data and looking for anomalies and failures. This did not serve me well with this disease! I had gotten to the point of closely analyzing every effort I made and the resulting levels of exertion - totally wasting 1,000's of hours undoubtedly! So, I decided that it was time for surgery and enough was enough. As of today, I'm just over 2 weeks post-op and making my way through recovery.
