About Me (In My Own Words)
I am 51 years old. I like to ride motorcycles and just got back from a once in a lifetime trip around Utah with my husband and 6 other friends. We rode 1700 miles on our Harleys and visited 5 national parks.
When I got home, I had my second echo which showed severe mitral valve regurgitation with a strong recommendation for surgery. I have a TEE scheduled at Our Lady of Lourdes on 11/9. I don't have a surgeon picked out yet. I am going to schedule a consult with Dr. Marc Sussman at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore MD and I will likely schedule a consult with a doctor at Our Lady of Lourdes in Camden, NJ which is closer to home.
I have 2 children, 19 & 23 and I want to be around for them and hopefully one day have grandchildren. I would also like to ride my Harley for at least a few more years. I'm not done with this heart yet!
