It looks like you live in Jersey and two renowned mitral valve hospitals are near you in Manhattan. - MT Sinai and Presbyterian. I had my mitral repair at Sinai by David Adams, MD. Presbyterian is also excellent. You will want a repair as your first choice over a replacement. Dr Adams at Sinai specializes in higher risk mitral repairs. Presbyterian may offer minimally invasive more so than Sinai.
