In September of 2022 I transferred care to a new primary care provider who discovered a murmur. On January 25, 2023 I had an echocardiogram and was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve, severe arotic regurgitation, an aortic root dialation of 5.00cm and an ascending arotic dialation of 4.87cm. I will see a cardiothoracic surgeon on January 31, 2023 and hoping to have surgery shortly there after. Imagine my surprise to hear this news at 33! I am extremely anxious to have the surgery but I know it is absolutely needed. Trying to stay positive. ❤️
