About Me

GROG need fix broken heart: 49 year old male (at the time). Open heart surgery September 11. 2013 to fix a tricuspid aortic valve SO calcified and stenosed that it is acting like bicuspid aortic heart valve. Got a new bovine heart valve to celebrate GROG' 50th birthday. (Not what GROG wanted, but at least SOMEBODY give GROG something for GROG' birthday this year!) Heart valve --0.65cm with 130 gradient--- GROG' heart valve diagnosed as stenotic bicuspid aortic valve, but heart surgeon found it was regular tricuspid aortic valve SO calcified that two lealfets were fused and the valve was acting like a bicuspid aortic valve. Thanks to all the patients who have already been through this for posting your journals. Very informative and reassuring. And thanks Adam Pick for the website and book. ---Ernie
