Ernie Keen Thanks Ruth. My Aortic Valve "Toro" is still going strong. I'm HOPING he'll last like 20 years or so. They've been monitoring my Aorta to make sure I don't get an aortic aneurism . The lining of it was thin, but not thin enough that the surgeon felt it needed to be replaced when I had valve surgery. So far it hasn't really changed since surgery nine years ago.

Long time no talk Ernie! Just had my tissue valve replaced. It has been falling apart and caused 2 heart attacks. It failed on me after I got Covid. I didn’t know it for months until I started coughing up blood. Lucky to be alive, a lot of these tissue valves have failed and people have died because of it. There were 5 people with the same valve and surgeon getting theirs replaced at the same time I went in. I’m about 2 1/2 months post surgery with a mechanical valve and feel great. Cardio back to about 90% and back in the gym and driving again about 2 weeks ago. Glad you posted and are doing well. Take care. Carlos
