I went to my annual physical and Doctor heard a murmur. Had an echocardiogram done which I was then diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse with severe regurgitation. I had thought the symptoms I was experiencing before my physical were just related to something else ...chest pains--stress, dry cough when laying down--allergies, fatigue--thyroid condition. I did my research and will have Dr. Steven Bolling, U of M, perform my surgery. Hope to learn and educate myself before my surgery in September.
