Send Deb a NoteAbout Me
Born with a bicuspid aortic valve, I lived a fairly normal life until a few months prior to surgery when I began experiencing intermittent shortness of breath and fatigue upon exertion. By the time it was determined that it was "time" to have the surgery, I could barely walk from the car to the grocery store without becoming extremely short of breath to the point it was frightening. Within 30 days I had Aortic Valve replacement ( open heart) ( I really wanted TAVR but was not a candidate). At 71, It was quite an experience ( I had a few glitches) but I survived and am so glad I had the surgery and am thrilled that I have been given additional years to enjoy life!
