About Me

I am 57yrs old, I was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis when I was 51. They said I was born with it. My dr heard a murmur and sent me for an echo it was confirmed that it was aortic stenosis. He said we will just watch it. I was feeling fine otherwise, I had no symptoms. About a yr later I had another echo nothing changed. So I figured everything was fine and didn't keep up with it. After a couple of yrs passed I was feeling fine that morning as I was going to pick up my grandson from school I passed out on the street. I was brought to the hospital and they heard the murmur it was very loud. Took an echo and my valve was so calsified and tight. I had to have OHS to replace it. I chose a tissue valve. Everything went well with my surgery and now I will be celebrating 1yr since my replacement. I am so great full for the wonderful care I was given and to my surgeon. I am great full to be hear to tell my story.
