Surgery date set, 3/28/22. Full disclosure, a bit anxious. I went from thinking and hoping TAVR was where I was headed to open heart surgery. Need aortic valve replacement, enlarged ascending aorta replaced, and left atrial appendage removed. Still weeks away and I hate the wait. Thankful I found this site, such an excellent resource. Also, grateful Dr. Gerdisch from St Francis Indianapolis is my surgeon, very impressive after just intial appointment.
