I was born with Aortic Stenosis but they didn't find it until I was 4 years old. When I was 18 I had my first open heart surgery and they opened my aortic valve, it is now 37 years later and time for me to get a heart valve replacement. I will be going in to Plano Heart Hospital in March and Dr. Ryan will be replacing my valve. I am in the process of deciding which valve to choose, I am leaning toward the Ross procedure but it seems very involved and am still researching. If not the Ross than I am looking at a tissue valve, I have to make a decision soon.
