"Routine" physical exam February 2023 - 66 years old at the time Dr recommended a calcium scoring test based on very slightly elevated cholesterol numbers. Test for calcium scoring revealed VERY minor issues score was 0 for 2 arteries and a combined 67 for 2. But did reveal I had a fairly good-sized ascending aorta aneurysm ( 5.4 to 5.8 based on several tests, at surgery was measured to be 5.9cm) Five months after the initial testing , 9/13/2023 had a BioBental procedure performed. Everyone at the Cleveland Clinic was on their game. Not to say it wasn't a tough few days but with the help of my wife and the great Doctors, Nurses and Technicians it was as good as could be. 11 weeks out from surgery and feeling pretty good. Started the cardiac rehab program a week ago. Getting some of my pre operation stamina back through work on the treadmill, elliptical, handcycle and stationary bike. Also, I'm back in the gym doing some light weight training . Fingers crossed !
